Paramount Drops First Look and Premiere Date for Stephen King’s “Pet Sematary: Bloodlines

Paramount has just announced the release of their upcoming original horror film, Pet Sematary: Bloodlines. Based on the terrifying and untold chapter from Stephen King‘s novel Pet Sematary, this spine-chilling prequel is set to premiere on Friday, October 6, exclusively on Paramount in the U.S., Canada, Latin America, and Brazil, and Saturday, October 7 in all other Paramount international markets.

PET SEMATARY: BLOODLINES stars a talented cast including Jackson White, Forrest Goodluck, Jack Mulhern, Henry Thomas, Natalie Alyn Lind, and Isabella Star LaBlanc, with Pam Grier and David Duchovny also making an appearance.

The film takes place in 1969 and follows a young Jud Crandall, who dreams of leaving his hometown of Ludlow, Maine behind. But soon, he discovers sinister secrets buried within and is forced to confront a dark family history that will forever keep him connected to Ludlow. Banding together, Jud and his childhood friends must fight an ancient evil that has gripped Ludlow since its founding and once unearthed, has the power to destroy everything in its path.

Directed by Lindsey Anderson Beer, in her directorial debut, and produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian, Pet Sematary: Bloodlines promises to be a terrifying prequel and the untold story of why sometimes dead is better.

The film will be featured in the Paramount Peak Screaming collection that curates fan-favourite horror movies and iconic Halloween episodes from beloved series. So, mark your calendars for October 6th and get ready to experience the horror that is Pet Sematary: Bloodlines.
