Morbitorium – Review

About

Somewhere between Newport and Caerphilly you will find a less than common sight for a small Welsh village. Nestled next to unassuming houses you will find Morbitorium.

You can rely on their decades-long obsession with horror, the occult, supernatural and the macabre to provide you with some of the best (and affordable) products around.

What we thought of Morbitorium

Walking in we were greeted by the owner Dave, who gave us a quick run down of what’s what but didn’t hover or over explain, a perfect interaction and then we were left to explore the two front rooms of the building which house the museum section of the property. Packed full of curiosities you can find taxidermy, a lobotomy kit, an Annabelle doll and more. We were pleased to see a fun ‘Find the ghosts’ game for kids (and me) and there were kids happily hunting amongst the oddities in the bid to take home a ghost hunter badge.

The shop at the rear of the property is fantastic, and you will find shopkeeper Pickles, a lovely tuxedo cat that hugely enhanced my shopping experience. The shop has everything you could be looking for, all at fair prices and we heard Dave giving solid advice to a customer buying from the apothecary.

Conclusion

Morbitorium is a real gem, we need more like it so I urge you to go and support it.

Keep your eyes peeled for horror movie easter eggs throughout
